These bags were stitched by the women of Kokkabare village in MM Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Once heavily dependent on forest resources, and susceptible to human-wildlife conflict due to forest visits, they are now developing stitching and tailoring skills to establish an alternative means of income.
Dimensions are 40cm x 32 cm.
The sale of this product helps the women move away from forest-dependent livelihoods and find better and more sustainable avenues for income.
